- Complete the Behavior Management Technician application.
- Completion of the Behavior Management Technician training modules.
- Achieve a score of 80% on the examination.

Mental Health Technician (MHTC)
A Mental Health Technician cares for individuals with mental or emotional conditions or disabilities, following the instructions of physicians or other health practitioners. A Mental Health Technician may monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being and report to medical staff, or participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs, help with personal hygiene, and administer oral or injectable medications.
Upon successful completion of the Behavior Manager Certificate program, you will be eligible for the Mental Health Technician certification and may schedule to sit for the examination on the AMCA website listed at the right.
