Requirements for becoming a Board-Certified Professional Counselor
- Master’s degree or higher in counseling or a related field covering the basic principles of mental health counseling. Primary work is in direct delivery or counseling services.
- Hold state licensure or certification if available.
- Must have at least one (1) year of post-graduate experience working in the field of mental health, counseling, and/or social work.
